Description

You Can't Do That.

The Dos and Don'ts of the new Mass. Non-Compete Law

The new Non-compete law went into effect on October 1. And that means that your existing and all new non-compete agreements are going to have to change. The new law, which applies to both employees and independent contractors, generally bans employment-related non-compete agreements in Massachusetts unless they meet certain statutory requirements. Whether you were for or against non-competes, they are a reality of your business, and you need to be sure that you’re in compliance.
